The Game

THE DEATH ARENA

When I woke up I was tied down to a big metal thing.   Above me, there was a ton bright yellow lights, but the strange thing was that they seemed to be floating in the air and there was nothing holding them up. I looked closer and I saw that they were small little lights that seemed to change shape every moment. They looked like the light that is inside a light bulb except there was not a single wire or piece of plastic.  Then I looked down, and I noticed that I wasn’t tied down at all.  I just couldn’t move, and there seemed to be a invisible force holding me down.  I also noticed that I was in a big metal cabin, or maybe it was a little house, but ether way I didn’t like any of this at all.  When the door opened, I caught a glimpse of the outside.  There were a bunch of trees and a little village.  The door slammed shut and it made a big loud noise that I had never heard before.  I looked at the person that had opened the door and it was the same guard from the hotel.

“Well, well what have we here” the guard said in an extremely loud voice.

“It looks like Jake me,” he said laughing.  He put up his hand and I felt myself float into the air.  He picked up his other hand and pushed it forward and then the door swung open.  He jerked his hand to the side, and I went flying out the door.

“Guess they didn’t even teach you how to block spells” said the guard. Just then James came flying out of one of the cabins, and a black-cloaked dude walked out of the door flexing his fingers.  I looked around and saw a bunch of kids lying on the ground.  Each one had someone standing by them and there were tons of cabins.  There was a big wall that stretched high into the sky. It was so high that I could only see about one tenth of it.

“And I know that you are one of them,” said the guard after he had cleared his throat.

“One of who?”  I asked in a scared voice.

“Them” he said.

“One of who!” I yelled.

“You’ll see… you’ll see” he said laughing. Then I felt myself fly into to the air.  I was jerked slightly to the left but then floated to the big gigantic wall.  What a dream I thought… I better wake myself up. I tried to smack myself, but the barrier wouldn’t let me move a muscle.

Hey that’s not supposed to happen, I’m supposed to wake up I thought.

“O this ain’t no dream,” he said and chuckled loudly.  I thought that ‘ain’t’ wasn’t a word,”  I said making fun of his grammar.

“Shut up!”,  he growled so every one could hear him.

I was so startled, that I almost fell except the barrier wouldn’t let me.

Ok,  this guy can ether read minds or he just guessed…so this is probably a dream.  I floated past a kid that was still on the ground.

“I knew this was going to happen,” he mumbled.  That didn’t help me at all. then a hole in the wall appeared and a few kids were thrown in there one by one they threw a kid in there and then it was my turn I landed with a loud thump I turned around and the hole closed up and then all of the black cape people were sitting in their seats I looked around even more carefully and then I saw that I was in gladiator arena the ground rumbled as a door opened and shadow men came in to the arena then there was a loud sound and one of the shadow men came up laughing and he stabbed a kid in the stomach and then that kid clutched his stomach and he melted into a black vapor. The clock dude people responded by laughing. and on the other hand I had seen them coming and I jumped out of the way of two incoming shadow dudes and I barely slashed his sword arm off and the other shadow dude turned into a puff of air (my specialty) and the armless one started to disintegrate and right after that a big explosion of rock appeared in front of me and knocked me off my feet completely then to walls came up on the side and spears were sent whizzing from in front and behind me and then spears came falling from the sky and I dodged all most all of them except the one that hit me right in the chest and broke in half  darn that’s about the third rune wasted I said privately. Then this kid jumped in the air and his clothes turned to gold and he had a bright shining platinum sword that looked sharp enough to cut anything but he stayed in the air .I noticed a gray little storm cloud had started to form on his sword and then.

“Crash” a junior thunder blot struck a shadow dude that was about to slice him. He put his sword in the air and then the clouds started to swirl. he was about to point his sword at the guard then chains came up out of the ground and hooked onto every body and pulled them to the downward then the guard said.

“Impressive” the guard shouted some weird form of language and then I fell to the ground along with the others and it was all black. When I woke I was in the arena still and almost every one else was awake then the guard walked in with the rest of the people I had seen

earlier we will be watching you die today now every one to the cages I saw a bunch of cages and I figured that I had no choice but to listen. The last kid to his cage was pulled in to the arena and then this big door opened and then double headed lions jumped in to the arena and jumped on the kid I new what would happen and so I closed my eyes and when I opened them there was no kid and but a pile of settling dust then another kid was pulled out from his cage. But this kid cut the lions heads of clean and then a hole in the ground opened and then at lest five trolls climbed out and I new what was going to happen when the trolls got in at lest two feet away from him. as kids were sent up there I fell asleep.

THE ATTACK

I woke up and then unlocked my door and walked down the hall and I went down the stairs and when I got to the bottom of the stairs I saw James over on the computer. I wanted to ignore James and so I quietly walked past the door and into the kitchen and I made myself some breakfast then James came in screaming

“The sky’s getting dark”

“The sky is supposed to get light in the morning” I said

“That’s exactly my point” James said still panting.

“Then show me” I said in an important voice. And then he pulled my arm and dragged me into the computer room when I looked up I saw that there was a big black cloud cruising the sky and it looked like a swarm of flies flying across the sky that seemed to go for ever horizontally and it was slowly growing bigger every second, then a bright green glow was sent into the air and the source seemed to come from behind the hill and then I looked up and the whole sky was dark when.

“Zap” there was a flash of light in the sky and then one of our trees was gone and instead there was a flaming fire then another bolt came down from the sky and shattered the window that me and James were looking through. By that time there were lightning bolts everywhere then there was a loud noise I looked that direction and an arrow was sent whistling past my foot.

“Wham” I was lying on the ground and there was a big hole in my shirt and everything around me was on fire I turned around and I saw James running out of the door and he was sent back in the house when a lightning bolt hit him in the stomach James doubled over and fell on the ground. I looked back were the window should have been and I saw at least fifty trolls smashing everything in their path coming my way

“Help” James screamed. I looked to see were James had gone but he wasn’t anywhere in sight

“James” I screamed as I got up to go and see were James was. When I got to the door James was fighting a shadow and there was a sword in his hand and it was made out of a thin sheet of air and the shadow person was holding a big shield with a black swirl in the middle and spikes on the edges and he had a black helmet and to top it all off he had black armor that seemed to be blacker than black and it seemed to go four ever if you looked at it. Every time James would look at the armor he seemed to go all hypnotized until he was smacked with a sword I went and jumped behind James but I saw the shadow dude lying on the ground with blood oozing out and he was fading away.

“well I think you passed the test” I said then I saw my parents run down the stairs as soon as they set foot out of the house they started to they were being thrown into the sky I ran outside and the sky was as black as black could be and they were being sucked into a vortex and then they were gone this must be a dream I thought. Then I heard an echo and I sounded like my mom’s voice and it said.

“Run” and then it faded away, I think that James heard it to because he ran off. I ran to the closest exit and that was a hole in the wall, I saw a glint far of in the distance that must be James but to my surprise it was not James or anything close to him it was a troll in shining armor then I heard James scream and then the troll hit me with his branch I went flying across the lawn and when I looked up I saw the same guard that I had seen at the hotel.

“Nice to see you again” he said. All of the sudden I couldn’t move and I thought of everything that had happened in the last few minutes.

“Zap” Then I felt an electric shock go through my body and everything went black. My last few memories were James disappearing and my parents getting captured.

I opened my eyes and I was rewarded with a ferocious smack and I moved out of the way of the next smack not sure what was happening and then I opened my eyes wider and I saw my big fluffy pillow that’s why my head seemed lower than usual I thought. And then I noticed it was in the hands of James coming down for the next hit not again I thought.

“It’s about time you wake up I have been whacking you with this pillow four ever” he yelled and whacked me in the face with my pillow for the fourth time

“Stop it, I’m getting up” I said screaming. After I realized that he was going to hit me with that pillow until something happened to him so I threw up my foot and then James was lying on the floor I bolted down the stairs and I was about open the door when I remembered that I had fell asleep on the floor on the exact spot that I was on now then James jumped on my back and I fell down and my head hit the door and then some one opened it and that didn’t help me either.

“Loser” James laughed and ran away what a great way to open the door for a young man I thought. I picked up a big stick and ran after James just wait till I open your head for you I thought and I threw the big stick I was holding in my hand and then as I ran over the hill and there was a big yellow puffy cloud and now James gone. I realized that I had kept my eyes open for awhile now I blinked and I was in the stupid training arena place again. I looked around and I saw James walking threw the wall

“Wait” I said and ran after James when I came out of the other side of the wall and I saw a big arena and James was standing in one of them and he was fighting this weird looking creature it was small though. I kept walking and as I walked past James he looked at me and then the little dude knocked James out of the arena.

“Hey I was winning” James screamed. I jumped in the area with a green ring and then little man popped out and he had a little sword and he tried to stab me but I dodged that and then another guy popped out from behind me and they both started swinging there swords I jumped into the air as both of the swords went flying under me and for some reason I kept going into the air and then I fell towards the ground when I landed somehow I kept my balance and when I looked up I saw the little dudes on the ground and they were cut in half and there was wires all over the ground” well that was easy”

As soon as I jumped out of the green ring the arena flipped over and every thing was gone that had previously been on there walked all the way over to the last one and then a big troll jumped out and then the ground shook and it flung me into the air and when I landed I barely dodged his big tree he was holding and then another troll jumped out of the ground right next to me and just about squashed me and then one of the trolls hit me with there tree and knocked me across the floor

“Is this a test or a death trap” I said quietly. Then they both jumped into the air and they were about to kill me when all of the sudden my legs started moving and they begin to feel like air and then I was on top of the troll and there was a air sword in my hand and then the troll didn’t have a head and as it was falling I jumped of and landed in front the other troll and my hands started moving like they had there own brain but I thought that I was supposed to control my hands when I looked up I saw that both of the trolls were dead.

“Well did I pass that test” I asked and then NAME said

“you have gone through a month worth of tests in one day but that was only because you skipped about one fourth of them all and so I guessed that you did pass so its time to go to the camp… after you save your house me” and James left our mouths hanging open and then we were at our house in the front yard

“Well that was very exiting” I said in a bored voice. Then I heard a loud and important voice.

“I think that they found out when the attack is” the voice said.

“Can we switch the date to tomorrow” a weaker voice said.

“Well…I don’t know, you’re the one that got promoted to leader” the other voice said stretching the word you’re. I crawled over the hill and I saw the black cape dudes with the pointy hats

“Well the invasion is tomorrow right” one of the funky cloths dudes said.

“Well I guess there was no reason in coming here” the other guy said. And then they were gone. I ran up to my house and I opened the door and I slowly climbed the stairs and walked to my room and I collapsed on my floor.

“Just on time” Jacor said.

“Huh”

“Were going to Pelegarn in an hour or two, better go get ready” he said.

“What happened to the deer?”

Jacor grinned. “You’ll see” Aaron went and picked up his boots and put on leather vest. He ran down the stairs and out the door over to the target, grabbed his unstrung bow and strapped his quiver to his back. Aaron walked over to the wheat field and there was some jerky hanging over a stick. Aaron went back into his house grabbed his leather bag and ran over to Jacor. “Time to go” Jacor said and walked out side and he grabbed the jerky and put it in his pack. Aaron followed Jacor out into the wheat field and to the path that lead to the trade route and he started walking. Vernast was built close to the main trade route and was on the opposite side of the road then Shem and Hemlist. As the city Vernast grew bigger in popularity the people built a road that went for about one hundred miles. The road went up and connected to the main trade route going up into Pelegarn. Aaron grew tired unwilling to tell Jacor. He wanted to show his older brother that he was a real man. Finely he could stand it no longer, and was about to tell Jacor that they should take a rest when Jacor himself requested a stop. Aaron sat down on the rocky ground he could see the small streets and houses off in the distance. “Catch” a piece of jerky collided with his face and in a hurry slid right into his lap. He popped it into his mouth enjoying the flavor.

“Want to stay here for the night”

“Hm…oh…ok” Aaron said looking around at the trees on either side of the path it didn’t look too comfy. Aaron and Jacor finding a small clearing unpacked the leather tent and crawled onto the dirt floor. Not long after he heard the soft snores of Jacor. Unable to fall asleep he thought about the next day hearing a twig snap outside of the clearing about twenty meters from the tent along with a harsh string of language. Aaron grabbed his bow and notched an arrow into place. Pushing aside the flap he crawled out and saw a group of three armored warriors.  He crawled back inside hoping they would go away. Aaron heard a metal gear pulling pack a string and an arrow flying through the air followed by several others creating holes in the tent. Another arrow landed near Jacor awakening him from his deep slumber. Startled he looked up at Aaron who had a arrow placed on the left side of his bow followed by a twang and two screams from out side the tent. Aaron winced, if he didn’t shoot these men he and Jacor would surly die. He crawled out of the tent and into the bushes unnoticed by the warrior who crawled towards the tent turning his back to Aaron. Letting go of the bow an arrow struck the man in the back and he fell. Slowly he crawled over to have a look at the device in the man’s hand it was a small hand-held crossbow. Down at Vernast cross bows were not a common weapon for they were rare and expensive and rarely came with the traders. Only the rich people had crossbows but never used them hiding the crossbows in their trophy rooms.

They only people that had crossbows were the ones in the king’s army who rarely traveled to the small city of Vernast, unless there was a real problem. Aaron wondering what they might be looking for grabbed the crossbow and threw it into the tent taking of the armor and throwing it into the tent. Aaron didn’t like Armor much or gears, strings and wires it was all just to confusing and it just didn’t feel right. An arrow and a bow were both simpler then a crossbow, doing the same thing as the crossbow and in his opinion doing it a lot better too. Leather chaps a leather vest some gloves and boots was all he needed not some big hunk of metal. Aaron had, had some bad experiences with heavy armor and two handed swords, last year Jacor had been teaching him the ways of the sword. He had taken a swing at Jacor who in return, swung his sword in a long ark and in one fluid moment, disabled his shield and sword. Aarons sword flung back and smacked him flat in the face, leaving a dark bruise, scarlet blood trickled down the side of his face. Aaron winced at the thought.

“Can I have that” Jacor said completely awake this time. Jacor did not care if he killed something, or maybe he was just good at masking his emotions.

“You can have it all” Aaron replied. Jacor dragged it all into the tent and went back into his deep sleep. Aaron circled the tent and listened for sounds of any unfortunate solders. He walked over to the brick paved road and back to the tent, crawled into the tent and fell asleep.

“Aaron, wake up…‘Aaron’!”

“Ok” Aaron replied. It was early in the morning and the sun peeked over the hills and sand dunes. The  only trees were around were the ones around the village witch was almost big enough to be referred to as a forest,. Aaron packed all his things. As Aaron crawled out of the tent and saw a shinning figure blocking the light.

“Hi Aaron” said the shinning figure.

“Aren’t you going to sell those” I replied.

“Yah… I guess they ‘are’ worth a lot,” Jacor said. He was eating some of the jerky and tossed some to Aaron. Jacor packed everything into his huge bag and the rest into Aarons.

“Isn’t all that armor heavy” I asked.

“Not really” he said. I knew he just wanted to wear the armor. We walked up the brick path. Aaron and Jacor could not see Vernast any longer.

“Lets go” Jacor said.  Aaron and Jacor walked up the path looking for Sand Fountains witch was a desert with metal hollow chunks in the ground that was filled with water and sand, building up pressure and either spewing out sand like a fountain or the sand would slowly flow out of the metal. But sometimes they exploded throwing metal shards and steaming water threw the air. It is said that the metal was thrown here by flying men who crashed into the ground thousands of years ago. There are also legends of large hairy with metal helmets and swords coming in from the coast and long ships. The large men traded the knowledge of the sword for some priceless riches. There have been multiple sites of long ships in the sea just out of the eyesight of the witnesses.

“Aaron! Pay attention” Aaron had started to wander off of the path. Then out of the corner of his eye he saw it. There were fountains of sand and moving layers of sand and shining jewels. Aaron quickened his pace and looked back, there was few trees and lots of cactus. Jacor pointed far past sands “There it is”

“Lets go” Andrew whispered. They jumped up behind the table, ran out the door and around the corner. A black ball rolled past the doorway and stopped.

“Run” Jason yelled. The ball beeped and exploded in a shower of light. Andrew’s suit froze and he fell to the ground. Jason grabbed his laser Shot Gun and ran around the corner pulling the trigger and looked. There was no one. He looked at his wrist. It showed the scores and who was alive and who was dead. His other wrist showed the positions of his teammates. There was a Walkie Talkie in his left pocket. Ryan’s parents where one of the richest people in the state and had purchased the latest and most expensive laser tag set and had put laser sensors all over the town, you could shoot someone from a mile. There was also a large tower on top of Ryan’s house/mansion feeding information to laser tag suits and weapons, which meant you could only play within the range of the tower witch was larger that the whole town. Jason ran up the stairs to the main base witch was at the top of a old building, the other bases (blue, red, green and purple) where currently unknown. Jason’s team was white and had less people then the other bases. Jason spoke into the Walkie Talkie “We need a medic at area twenty three” Jason said

“Medic on the way” said are team captain, Dallin. Jason checked his map, a white dot with a black cross in the middle appeared witch stood for dead. A red line connected it to another white dot with a black line going down the middle meaning medic. Jason ran up the stairs and up into the HQ. Dallin was listening to some speakers and replying as he was updating them onto the screen. Christopher was watching the screens showing several 3D versions of the house from different angles showing all the floors of the building, there was another screen showing the area around the building. Christopher was updating the dead people’s locations and at the same time looking for intruders. There were several other people working in the HQ. Jason ran down the walkway into the armory and picked up a sniper rifle.

“Beep” a red dot appeared on the screen.

“S1 (sniper 1) and S5 to the roof…P3 (pistol 3), SG4 (shot gun4) and R1 (rifle 1) to Gate” said Dallin. Jason ran up the ladder and onto the top platform. 2 people with red and black suits where running down the road, they were holding rocket launchers and one of them was holding an interceptor. They’re going to install an interceptor. Jason ran down the hall and back flipped off the edge and on to the armory roof landing on his hands and flipped back up, his suit did all the work and he did the basics like flipping off the edge. He jumped inside, grabbed a Grappling Hook Gun and a parachute and jumped back out and floated to the ground. Jason ran around the corner off the building, shot his grappling hook at the wall and it pulled him up onto the side of the wall. He jumped off activating his parachute and shot at them with his sniper rifle. They fell as he grabbed his Walkie Talkie.

“Enemies destroyed” Jason said. Tristan and Jaden ran out of the building and dragged them back inside, pulling them into the Jail cells took their weapons and healed them.

“Where’s your base” they said as Jason ran down the street. Jason ran down the street and grappled onto a wall and swung through the window. As soon as he climbed inside he heard alarms go off and running coming from down the stairs. Jason immediately grabbed his shot gun and jumped down the some stairs and stopped turned and ran down the hallway and down some more stairs.

“Stop right there” said a voice. Jason slowly turned around as if to put his hands up and then shot him. Jason ran down the aisle and he jumped into the elevator and went up to the top floor and Parachuted off the edge and ran for his base as talked into the Walkie-talkie

“We may have found an enemy base”

TRANING CAN TAKE FOR EVER

I got up and walked past James’s room and then all of the sudden there was doorknob in my face and I was on the laying ground and I saw James running the opposite way. I slowly got up and then walked down the stairs then I saw my dad up making break feast but that was weird because he usually sleeps in as I got the bottom of the stair case my dad said

“Time for your training”

“What training” I asked.

“Just go to the pillars and then you’ll be fine” he said. But I wasn’t listening so what are you making

“eggs and pancakes” he said. Oh boy my favorite I said in my head. I went and sat down at the table and started eating my eggs when there was a noise outside me and James bolted off our chairs and then out of the house when we got outside James grabbed me and pulled over to the pillars as soon as I got close to them I disappeared into a puff of yellow smoke and then  me and James were in that same training arena we were in yesterday then I saw NAME in the back ground and then he said

“Well are you going to start”

“What do I do” I asked

“watch me” he said and then he went over to a spot that looked like a obstacle course and then he said

“first you need to be quick and fast like ninjas so in my opinion I think that you should start with the obstacle course with the red border but its not my choice” I looked at the obstacle course that NAME had pointed out and it looked the easiest so I went over to it but I was wrong and then all of the sudden a big axe came swinging down at me from the side and at the last second I dodged it and then a big stick came up from out of the ground in front of me  and the then blades popped out and then the stick started to spin and some how I dodged them all and then big block came up from the ground and I jumped over that too and then when I hit the ground I slid under  another axe that was coming at me from and then I looked up and saw a spear fall from the ceiling and then I put my hand in the way and I thought that I was doomed and to my surprise a air blade that looked like a flying saucer appeared and then it collided with the spear and they both blew up and made a funny popping noise. James and NAME stared at me in silence

“Well did I do good” I asked. And then NAME cleared his throat and said.

“And that is one of the many times when these elementals come in handy” he said acting like he was the best.

“Did I do well” I asked louder this time

“uh…yes” he said quickly. Then I saw him pull out a paper and right a few sentences and then it flouted into the air and disappeared leaving a cloud of yellow sparks behind it then he stood up and said “James turn” and then James walked over to the obstacle course, biting on his fingers the whole way to the obstacle course then he jumped in he went under the axe then over the blades and the block and then under the second axe  and then the spear came crashing down on him but then I noticed that were it had hit there was a little air blade and then there was a sickening crack and the spear split in two

“ah and there some thing I for got to tell you, when you are about to get killed and you don’t use your runes they will protect you” he said.

So if I was you I would carry more then one rune…and oh yeah if you if you pass the test then you will be sent to camp.

“what test” I asked then he pointed and all of the obstacles I was hoping a different answer.

“Uh… NAME should we go and get some more of those rune things” “sure just get about twenty of them and you will be fine” he said and then he pointed his hand at me and James and then we were at the pillar.

“Well I will go first” James said. And then he walked between the four pieces of the cube and then he said THE SPELL and then an air rune came up from the pillar and then another and another until he had twenty runes. On the other hand when I got to the summoning spot I got at least forty runes just in case. As soon as I got off the summoning spot me and James appeared back with NAME and his training arena thing I went and jumped on to the second obstacle course which had a green border around it then about ten axes started to swing back and fourth. I slid under the first one missing it by inches and then I jumped over the one that was connected to the floor this happened until I reach the last two when I saw them I almost fainted there was on the ceiling and one on the ground and they were swinging right then left and they were to close together so I couldn’t jump between them then I got an idea and then I threw a rune and as it hit the swinging axes there was a horrible sound and then I slid to the end of the course but I didn’t hesitate I jumped up and then I landed on the course with a orange boarder I went from course to course when I was done I laid on the ground thinking about all of the courses I had done. I was done with the whole test in one day

“well in the human world it would be time for you two to go to bed so see you tomorrow… oh I almost forgot be ready for your next section of the test” he said.                                                                                                       Second section I thought. And then he waved his wand and then we were at our front door.                                                                                                                        “Hey Jake do you think that he will teach us how to teleport” he asked curiously.

“I don’t know… but I do know something and that something is that we might never finish are training” I told him bitterly. We walked into the house and then I collapsed on the flour and then James fell to the ground half way up the stairs and then everything went black.

A MONSTER RAID IS COMING TO TOWN

It turned out that my parents had gone out to get groceries and they couldn’t find me and just assumed that I had gone out to play. As I crawled out of bed I noticed what time it was, the clock read six thirty five James would be waking me up by now and as if by magic James walked right in my room I hate myself I said in my head

“uh… hi Jake uh I was wondering?” he started to say                                                                                                                          “Well spit it out” I said angrily                                                                                    “I was wondering if you wanted to go and see that white glowing thingy” he said speedily. I laughed “White glowy thingy, no thank you” I said

“fine” he screamed and then bolted down the stairs                                                “hey where are you going, your going to hurt yourself” I yelled as I ran after him I ran down the stairs and out the door as I chased James over the field I didn’t notice that we were getting closer to the hill that the white slab was behind and when I did notice we were practically on top of it. I turned around and then took of but then I saw James and his body starting to glow yellow I was so scared that I went and then tried to jump over hill but while I was in the air I started to glow a yellow color and disappeared in to a puff of yellow smoke and then all of the sudden I was in a room with this guy and then I saw James and then he came over to me and then the guy started talking                                                                                             “ I have been waiting for you” he said in a scary voice I looked for the entrance but there wasn’t a entrance that’s weird I thought. “I scared you didn’t I anyway it’s a bout time did you know that your parents were and still are magic?” he said and looked me in the eye at the same time.                                                                                                                        “Sure what ever like I am going to believe that” I said.                                                                                     “No really” he said serious this time.                                                                                               “There is a group of monsters and they have planed to attack your house on January first and since that you live in the middle of nowhere… there will be nothing to prove that a pack of monsters attacked your house…and your going to defeat them so you in” he said

“Um sure… and now what do we do” me and James said at the same time

“You follow me” he said happily.

We followed him through the wall and then all of the sudden we were in a big area and it looked like a training arena.

“Well this is it and now its time to train” he said in an exited voice.

James and I went over to the equipment and we stood there blankly

“You don’t know what to do, do you” he asked

“Uh… no we don’t” I said

Well I will show you then” he said and then went and then jumped in to the arena and then a hole in the floor opened and then a robot ninja jumped out of the hole and it through one of its daggers and then the wizard jumped over the blade and he spun in the air and when he landed he put his fingers together and then a flaming disc came from between his fingers and shot towered the ninja and then as it hit the ninja it burst into a ball of flames and then it was gone me and James stood there in aw

“But you will start with something easier than a robot ninja

and before you anything like that you need some runes and the easiest place to get them is at a pillars”                                                                                                               he said acting like he knew everything. As me and James heard the word pillar we looked at each other, we had seen six pillars by are house and now we new what the purpose was and that purpose was to make a make those rune things ( which is probably going to help with the monster raid).

“And I know a shortcut” he said happily.                                                       And then he grabbed out a wand and pointed it at me and James and a thin line of yellow fly at me and James and then we were back at the white slab of doom (which really was a rune maker thing).

“Oh yah I forgot to ask you what your name was” he said.

“My name is Jake” and then I pointed to James.

“And that is James” I said proudly.

“Well that’s a couple of good names” he said

“And what is your name?” I asked suspiciously.

“Just call me PUT NAME ANISHLES HERE it stands for PUT NAME HERE” he said. Then he went over to the cube and then the cube split in four so now he was in the middle of the four pieces but I thought that you were supposed on top of it. He mumbled something and then a white sphere floated out of one of the pillars and I noticed that the pillar was the same color as the sphere and then I looked around and saw that each pillar was a different color and the colors were blue, red, brown, and a cloudy white color and the two other pillars I couldn’t see what those colors were and just like earlier when those black cloaked dudes made those rune things come up from the pillars and have them flout into the there hands.

“And now if you want a air elemental or air rune as most people call it you will have to learn the to summon and to start off come over here I walked over there and then into the cube but instead of walking into a cube I was between all of four pieces of the cube. Then NAME said “now you say MAGIC SPELL” as I said that word a cloudy white sphere flouted out from the top of the pillar

“Now what do I do” I asked

“Well first you need to open your hand very wide” he said

As I opened my hand the air rune slowly flouted too my hand my the time the  rune got to my hand James was standing there hungrily I  slowly walked away wondering if this was a dream I turned around and James already had a air rune hovering over the pillar well good for him I thought. Then I saw my nice and comfy bed through the window

“Hey a… NAME I was wondering if I can act like a normal kid and uh… my parents get really mad when you know” I was started to say.      “I spoke with them earlier and they agreed to this” he said in a serious voice.

“Well can I at least go to bed” I asked.

“I never said you couldn’t’ he said. I ran for the house and so did James as we ran into the house are dad asked us

“how was it” me and James ignored him and we rushed up to our rooms and fell on our beds trying not to thing about the runes, I was so busy trying to not think about those runes that I didn’t notice my eyes sliding closed.

THE TRIP HOME

Several days had passed since my dad had hit that jet of water and had that memory knocked out of him. As my dad walked in the room he said “time to go” my face put on a nice and happy smile

“Yes” I muttered under my breath and I think I heard James say the same thing. We fallowed our dad down to the first floor and then we walked to the closest airport and then we got on the plane and it took of when we landed I was asleep

“Wake up” James said. As we got out of the airport I saw our truck we all went and jumped in to the truck then James said “how did the truck get hear” he asked

“Well that’s for me to know and you to find out” my dad said. But this time when he started the truck it didn’t move so my dad went and fixed engine. While my dad fixed the engine James and I sat in the truck impatiently and then James bumped my arm and he pointed to a place in the mountains the air around it was a strange light tint of green. Oh boy I thought.

“Well I have nothing to do with that stupid glow so enjoy yourself” I said. That seemed to lock up James mouth up for enough time for my dad to fix the car. My dad started the truck it jolted me and James out of our seats

“Ouch” we screamed at the same time. As me and James crawled back on to our seats I saw another glow in about the opposite spot as the first three glows that looked dimmer now. As we rode I saw more and more green glows, by the time we had made it home I had seen about thirty seven. I don’t know about you but if saw a bunch of green glows that you knew held a bunch of death slabs would you be scared well anyway I was so scared that when we got home and before and we had made it to the garage I jumped out of the truck and then I ran up to the porch and opened the door leaving it open and then as I was running past the garage door it opened and slammed into me and I went skidding across the floor then I saw the back of James shirt fly up the stairs  I rushed up the stairs to see what James was doing, when I saw him hugging his teddy bear I Just about exploded with laughter then I realized what it would be like do be so scared and then have your brother make fun of you so I decided to go down stairs and then I got ready and everything and then walked out the door and then I slowly crept through the wheat and every once and a while I would peek over the wheat. As soon as I had got out of the wheat field I crawled over to the hill and then I walked over to the white slab

“hey I think this is were we put it” a voice said. I bolted over to the hill opposite of were I had heard the voices. After I had made it to the hill I looked over the and saw two people in black robes and a odd looking pointy hat that was a slightly darker color than there robes then one of the weird looking people walked right up to the cube and then he walked into it and appeared on top of the cube and then he mumbled some strange words and then out of the six pillars came flouting spheres and they would have looked like the one that was flouting above the cube except they were all a different color.  Red, blue, white, brown but I couldn’t tell what color the rest were. Then he mumbled a few more sentences and then three more balls appeared over every pillar so the there was now four flouting balls over each pillar. Then the wizard looking guy put out his hand and he opened it wide and then the spheres all flouted to his hand and disappeared I rubbed my eyes (they do that in movies) nope this was real the last two balls were flouting into his hand.

“Well we better get going” said the other weird looking guy. And then they walked into the cube and disappeared as each one went in the a fire would appear on each of the pillars and then go when they were gone I slowly climbed over the hill and I started making my way home. When I got home and everyone was gone. I was so scared and confused that I didn’t notice the wall until I collided with it

“wham.” I slowly dragged myself over to my room and pulled myself half way onto me bed and then everything was dark.

THE TRIP ACROSS THE SKY

“JAKE wake up its time” screamed James as he smacked me with my pillow.

“Time for what” I said sleepily.

“THE-TR-IP.” he said in a baby voice.

“What trip” I said more awake this time.

“Oh yah… that trip… but I thought”

“Well get ready!” he screamed.

“Why do my parents have to torture me like this?” I said quietly. After I got ready I went down stairs and out the door and then into the truck. It was nice bright and cloudy day and the clouds were like little fluffy teddy bears flouting through the sky and the sun was coming up from behind the mountains and it reminded me of the little kindergartner pictures. As the truck started it made that ugly noise they make when they start. As we drove down the road everything seemed quieter than usual and when we got to the city the traffic got so bad that we almost stopped the car then when we reached the city boundaries just about every car had disappeared. I could see a big forest out on the country side, things like this happened again and again until we reached the airport I followed my parents into the airport and then we finally got to the airplane as the plane took of I looked out of the window and every thing turned into a blur and then smaller and smaller until the houses  were like little ants on the ground and I finely let myself fall asleep. When I woke up there was tall buildings for as far as my eye could see                   “where are we?” me and James said at the same time                                  “were here” dad said happily.

“Where is here?” I asked.

“It’s called LOS ANGELES” he said loudly and even happier than before.

“Were are we going to stay” James asked in a little baby voice

(Not that he isn’t a baby).

“At a hotel…isn’t that easy enough to guess” my dad said looking like he was going to explode of happiness which doesn’t happen very often. I looked around and saw that there was a bunch of tall buildings but it never a cured me that they were hotels or that I was in Los Angeles I also caught James eyes staring up at the skyscrapers the whole time we had been standing there. As we followed my dad I could tell that he really was enjoying himself because he doesn’t get exited very often. As my dad went and got registered and everything my brother and me ran to the beach

“I bet that I can beat you there” James screamed. As me and James ran down the path step after step I noticed that the path was on a hill that sloped downwards I was too happy to remember anything about the green glow until I saw what I didn’t want to see It saw a bright green glow in the water. I looked at James and I knew that the seen it to  “come on” James said in a amazed voice we took off and the hill seemed to go for ever after we got to the bottom I figured out that it probably went on forever and ever. After we had made it to the beach, me and James ran over the white sand and then we jumped on some guys surf board and took off. The water made a splashing noise when I moved my feet

“I hate water” James said in a discussed voice. As we got closer to the waves the calmer they got. When we were almost on top of the green glow (which was probably really one of those white cubes things) the surf board tipped forward into the water and if you have ever tried to balance yourself on a surfboard that is tipping and has two people on it you know what I am talking about if you haven’t well don’t try it it’s a disaster. Me and James fell into the water and we panicked and panicked

“HELP ME” he said screaming with water in his mouth we yelled and yelled until we noticed that we were breathing in the water James seemed to be paralyzed by amazement or something like that because he almost sunk to the bottom of the sea but by that time I couldn’t see him at all, I looked at the cube and now it looked like the one at home except if you looked from the side  there would be a blue sphere and the four rectangles had formed a ring and then the pillars looked like someone had smashed them into the ground so they were all flat and the glowy green ring was the same as the one at home so there was a sphere and then four lines then a ring and then six lines and then a ring but they were all snow white like the ones at home and instead of the area around it being marble there was air which has nothing to do with nature because you don’t just see an air bubble in the sea do you. “HAY” said a familiar voice I turned around just in time to see something shoot through the water I slowly flouted to the top and saw someone on my surfboard floating away I swam after whoever it was as fast as I could when I had caught up to the person and saw a familiar smile on the face of James

“come for a ride” he said.  As we reached the shore James jumped on the sand before the surfboard even touched the shore

“good old sand” James said sticking his head in the ground. After James was done hugging the sand and that other stuff me and James walked up the path are feet seemed to sink into the sand with which every step and it seemed to be even longer than before. We ran over to the hotel and we saw our dad standing nice and happy the same as before.

“Where were you I have been looking for you all over the place?” he asked.

“We… uh went for a walk down to the beach. Which was true. I thought that was odd because me and James had just been scared out of are wits and my dad was standing there all nice and happy

“lah la lah nothings happening”. Then me and James bolted into the hotel and James was so worried about getting to our room that he didn’t see the stairs coming his way and then

“Smack” there must have been someone coming up the stairs I thought. I walked into the elevator and went to floor five I ran all the way to my room which was called room number one hundred twenty two I swung open the door and ran in and then closed it and I herd someone scream “ouch!” and then I saw a very angry James walk in the room and fall on the bed

“I bet that’s the last of him” I said happily. I looked out the widow and realized what time it was this reminded me of what me dad always says “time fly’s by when your haven fun” except I didn’t have fun I had been terrified I jumped on the bed and fell asleep. I was the first one to wake up and I went over to the window but the green glow was brighter that ever. I went over to the elevator and went to the first floor and then I noticed that the guard was asleep so I snuck out of the hotel and then I ran across the pavement and then over to the path and down the hill as I reached the beach I jumped on my dads jet ski and took of. I hit wave after wave after wave until a jet of water came up from the spot were the green glow was all of the sudden the jet ski sped of with out warning as the jet ski made it over the green glowy water the handle bars jolted me off and in to the water as I fell into the water I saw James off in the distance riding on a surfboard about time I thought. As I looked at the slabs they started to spin so fast that I could only see a big blur and then a picture stared to come onto focus and it was looking at my house from the same spot as the white pillars and then the picture looked down ward like it was a video tape but then I saw a squarish hole in the ground and the only thing that floats above that hole is a glowing yellow sphere I new there was something bad about that sphere. I whished I had my dads gun right now, then I was pulled into the picture next thing I new I was on the hill and then I turned around and saw the yellow sphere and the big hole and my house then James came flying out and almost killed me and the only thing that can teleport you to another location is a portal so if I just got sent back home this is a portal but what is the point of having a portal were ever I go I wondered

“James you know how dads going to be if we’re not there in the morning…well let’s see if we can get back… I will go first” I said and then I went and jumped through the portal and James came from behind me and then we floated to the top of the water .Then we swam away from the glow all the way to the shore without stopping. After we had made it to land we ran to the hotel and then we rushed past the guard and then up the stairs and then to the fifth flour and to the 122 room we then jumped into our beds and then about two seconds later we heard our dad get up and then he woke us up (or at lest that what he thought)

“ time for the jet skiing” my dad said me and James exchanged scared glances. Apparently my dad had noticed

“what?” he asked suspiciously

“um uh… nothing” I said nervously and then he shrugged and said “well more fun for me” and then he opened the door and walked away me and James sat down on beds. After a long period of thinking I got up and then went over to my suit case and hoped that my dad had packed the video game system in my suit case. After I had gotten the video game system out and everything else I went over to my brother

“Want to play” I said.

“Yes!” he said shouted even happier than my dad had been earlier. As we reached the TV it was a race to the wireless controller but I won as always and then he sadly took the other controller which was not wireless. I put in the CD and then it started, and on the screen in big letters said Formula One Racing and then it showed a video of race car and then I went to multiplayer and then started the race and then I started the multiplayer race and I took off and then after about five minutes into the game without warning it started a countdown. That is weird it not supposed to do that is it I thought? Then I checked what time it was the clock was counting down showing the same numbers as the TV screen. I looked around and saw that all of the electronics had turned on and they now all read FIVE I looked at James who was whacking the controller on the ground

“You stupid game” he screamed angrily.

“Uh… James maybe you should take a look around” I said. Apparently he was too busy on breaking his controller to notice that the sound was getting louder Five, Four, Three, Two and then there was a explosion and I looked out the window and saw a blast of water come up from the area of the green spot and we saw our dad disappear in to the water. Me and James rushed so fast that we didn’t even notice that we had taken the stairs when we made it too the door out we didn’t even notice the guard walking in side. We bolted down to the beach and we were about to jump on the jet skies when we heard our dad behind us

“I knew you would come for a ride on the jet skies”

“What happened” I asked.

“What do you think I just barely got here” he said in a surprised voice. James looked at me

“Cool, brainwash” James said in an amazed voice.

“What did you say” my dad asked

“Uh… nothing” I said in a normal voice. James and I looked at the sun and it was going down. My dad saw the sun too and said

“Well I guess I fell asleep or something… well good night” After me and James got in our beds in the hotel I fell into a deep sleep.
